Win At Life

Win At Life

Are you (still) doing what it takes to win?

We all want to win! Don’t we?  We all want to achieve the life we want to achieve.  For the record, I’m not talking about some weird Charlie Sheen “Tiger Blood” or “All I do is win, win, win,” DJ Khaled, worldly “winning.”  I’m talking about doing what it takes to win at the important things in life.  4 areas we should all want to win in:

Inner Life.

Is my mental space a safe place? Is it for you? Your mind and mental life should be the safest place on the planet for you. Often, I can slip and my self-criticism can slip into a toxic barrage. Instead of building ourselves up, we tear ourselves down.  Tips for enhancing your inner life:
  • Sleep
  • Prayer
  • Reading
  • Gratitude
  • Exercise
  • Hydration
  • Eating Right
Success is an inside job. Do what it takes to win on inside!

Relationships.

I would have done anything to win the heart of my bride before she was my bride. And, that presents a challenging question. Am I willing to do what I did then to “win” her heart today? Do I prioritize my time with her? Do I plan romantic moments? Do I express the appreciation I have for her? Do I ask lots of questions about her hopes and dreams?  Imagine for a moment if I did. If you did. Married or not, what if you put in the effort to your existing relationships what it would take to “win” their heart. What would the results be?

Professionally.

We are so good at putting our best foot forward when applying for a job. Are we working as hard today to accomplish the goal that we promised we would fulfill?  How about those of us who are in sales? Are we working as diligently to fulfill the promises as we did when we made them?  How about those in ministry? Are we connecting with existing partners and attendees like we did when we hoped they would join?  You should be pro. Do whatever it takes to be the best at what you do.

Purpose.

It can take a season of soul searching to find your purpose, but it’s worth it.  Here are a few questions to get the process started:
  • What do you love?
  • What stirs your passion?
  • What fires you up for life?
  • What is working?
  • What can you make money doing?
  • What do others say you are good at doing?
Find your race and run it! I want nothing more for myself and for you than to know at the end of our lives that we ran our race and won!  I’d love to hear what race you are winning or what hurdles you are struggling to overcome as you attempt to Win at Life!
